Transforming diabetes treatment and care

We supported a major pharmaceutical company to successfully make the case for additional long-term funding for diabetes care, in the teeth of the UK’s austerity drive.

We gave decision-makers the tools and evidence they needed to implement policy change across the health system, helping to improve the lives of the 2.8 million people living with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes in England. The result was a national policy shift towards secondary prevention, targets to incentivise local improvements and £44 million to transform diabetes treatment and care.
