Reducing the burden of brain and pain disorders across the EU
For our client, a European patient association, it was vital to raise awareness of neurological and chronic pain disorders ahead of the 2019 European elections. Using our insight and expertise, we developed an evidence-based document on how to tackle three focus areas for change: (1) eradicating stigma, isolation and discrimination, (2) ensuring equitable access to treatment, services and support, and (3) empowering patients through increased involvement and engagement.
We also developed a dedicated toolkit identifying key policy hooks and actions for stakeholders and organised an engaging workshop, encouraging stakeholders to take action at national and EU level. Thanks to our work, we united key players in this space and achieved the endorsement of the initiative by the European Commission, to the benefit of patients across the EU.
